How your donations help CSM.
Thank you for considering a donation to the California Surf Museum.
We are proud to be one of the most active, unique, and accessible surf museums in the world since 1986.
Because we are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, public support is vital for CSM's success.
How do financial donations help the California Surf Museum?
Donations not only help the museum continue operating on a daily basis, but also make possible the continuing series of fascinating new
exhibits, film premieres, book signings, educational lectures, and music events.
The Archives and Collections department is hard at work preserving surf culture memorabilia including magazines, books, posters,
wetsuits, bathing suits, and trophies for the education and enjoyment of future generations.
Donations may also be used to purchase crucial archival materials or for obtaining new acquisitions to increase the value and quality of
our wonderful collection.
Does the California Surf Museum take items as donations as well?
Yes. We are still growing our archives and collections and therefore accept historically significant surf items as donations. Please contact
CSM for a copy of the Collections Policy and to find out more about donating items.
Is a donation to the California Surf Museum tax-deductible?
Yes! CSM staff will provide you with a tax receipt after a donation is made.
